how did this show come about?

Write or Flight is the brainchild of Wendy Dale, a Random House memoir author and the founder of Memoir Writing for Geniuses.

Wendy studied film in Cochabamba, Bolivia and has scripted and directed many projects. She is the co-writer of the Emmy-nominated TV special, The New Adventures of Mother Goose.

Her newest book, The Memoir Engineering System, is the result of 15 years spent deconstructing thousands of manuscripts to deduce the principles that all memoirs rely on.

who will judge the show?

Judges are still being selected. There will be a panel of judges, all of whom are writing experts.

is this a one-time thing?

The goal is to produce a new show once a year with a new round of contestants.

where can i watch the show?

For now, this is a web-based series, though we hope to negotiate a production deal for 2026.
